Coming Soon

~~~~~~~~~~
Though it may seem that I did nothing but sit on my butt all of last year—I blame a barrage of health issues that are now happily resolved—I have gotten some writing done and will be putting out books in 2015.
Thick as Ice, a follow-up book to Thick as Thieves, will be landing on my publisher’s desk soon. Though it does follow on the heels of the first book, it’s not precisely a sequel. It’s a another adventure! When rogues Vorgell and Madd attempt to fulfill a debt to a cranky old witch by fetching her wizened mother, they get caught up in a plot to plunge a neighboring kingdom into permanent winter. They also must teach Petal it’s impolite to eat other people’s pets. I have a third adventure planned for them entitled Thicker than Blood, but I haven’t started writing it yet because…
… I will be delivering two Uttor books to Resplendence to be published this year. Both run contiguous with and tell different parts of the war and romance saga begun in Captive Heart and Dangerous Beauty. The first is Adored, the MF romance of Adora Leonnte and Vallmer Beringen, who goes to Uttor thinking to pursue a different princess. Widowed Adora, however, is certain she is the princess the hunky prince really needs. That she’s pregnant presents a bit of a problem, but Adora isn’t about to let that stop her.
The second Uttor book will be Victory Portrait, the MM romance of the youngest Kordeun son, Peta, and conquering, royal-hating general Darius Arrento. When his emperor orders Darius to sit for an official portrait, the general does so grudgingly… until he finds himself smitten by the artist’s breathtakingly beautiful slave, little knowing that his conniving emperor has put a prince in his path.
And if that is not enough, I am working on preparing my epic Triempery series for submission to mainstream publishers. Crossing my fingers on that one! I will be putting up the first two chapters of the first book soon for feedback.
Also, I have a short story coming soon in an anthology to be released by Wilde City Press. April Fools, anyone? How about spider shifters? Bwahahaha!
So that’s what I’m doing behind the scenes!
  1. I like all these upcoming stories, especially because of good health being the reason for them coming along well. And spider shifters? I'm game!
    Ooh, and I like secrets too, especially when they're sekrit giveaways!
    I'm going to go with Arshad and Endre, and it's just for a night of wonderfully interesting discussion. :-D
    1. Spider shifters for the dunk! LOL Oh, Arshad and Endre are a great choice for that, whether it's philosophy, religion, or sex. :)
  2. Haven't read a spider shifter story before... totally interested though especially if it's you writing that. You have an awesome imagination when writing, I get sucked into all the different worlds.
    But if I had to choose I pick Rimmon and Ekari. They are totally manly! I would want to see their eagles and find out what they are up to now. Turning their future niece/nephew bratty probably!
    1. Gosh, I need to get back to that world. It's so fun! And eagles are simply amazing, aren't they? The bonding. The freedom. And I actually fear what Sarduk's kid might turn out like. :-/
  3. I'd LOVE to have Madd and Vorgell for an evening just to watch them interact (and I mean that in a purely verbal way, lol). But if I had to choose only one, I'd choose Madd because I'd love to chat with him even if he was all prickly. What a fun question!
    1. Funny how Madd is *especially* fun when he's prickly. His issues have issues. LOL But you can have both if you like. :)
  4. What do you think, honey? I've been in love with Madd and Vogel since they made their first appearance in Wednesday Briefs!! I can''t wait for the sequel
    1. Sorry for making the wait so long, Nephy. On the plus side, I think you'll enjoy watching the boys in action again! :D
  5. I still have Thick as Thieves in my huge Kindle's TBR pile, better move it up the pile. So many books, so little will power in buying more books, so little time, and so slow a reader. I would choose Rimmon and Melkor. Besides liking these two characters, I would get to experience a ride on a eagle and a flying rug if there was hopefully a fun moon night to do so. :)
    The spider shifters sound so unique to me. Also, I looking forward to your new books in the Pride of Uttor series, both Adora and Peta.
    1. I think a ride on a flying carpet with a couple of lovely men would be a pretty great time! :)
  6. I love THICK AS THIEVES, and it would be fun to spend time with Madd and Vorgell (even though I'm nearly as hapless as they are, and just hanging out would probably be fraught). I'm not well-versed in the rest of your oeuvre yet, but Rimmon and Melkor do sound like an entrancing pair...
    1. Well, you know where Vorgell and Madd came from. I draw those disasters from life! LOL
  7. I'd have to say Madd too. Flawed smartass folks appeal to me lol. To sit around and just talk to the guy... OMG how cool would that be???
    1. Madd could get smart ass lessons from you, I think... ;-) But you're right about him being fun to spend time with. LOL
  8. I don't know how you do it! And I love Madd and Vorgel so much. I have the Thick as Thieves coin purse in my bag all the time, holding tea bags, which my husband finds hysterically ironic.
    1. So glad you're enjoying the coin purse! I ordered more, so will be offering them around. The tea bag idea is great! It never occurred to me to carry mine in a coin purse. I use a Ziploc. :)
  9. I gotta add in my vote for Madd and Vorgel. I think I would love to be the "proverbial" fly on the wall while they're conversing (or anything else they might be getting up to). LOL!
    1. I think a fly on the wall would get to hear--and see--lots more interesting stuff than a person in the room! LOL
  10. I can't wait for Madd and Vorgell's next adventure! And which of your characters would I pick for a night? Vorgell. Vorgell. Vorgell. Why? A giant nymphomaniac who can take and give a pounding. What's not to like about that?
    1. The perfect man. LOL Always hard, always ready. And he'd also bash in the heads of your enemies. ;-)
  11. I guess I'm not alone in loving Madd and Vorgell! I'd choose Madd because I love his mouth.
  16. I feel bad that I have not read the book and delved into the wonderful world of Madd and Vorgell... so I just read up the book blurb and was wondering about what was is about that unicorn horn? This book has swiftly moved up my wish list, as I would love to spend an evening or two with them :)
    Thank you for this giveaway and thank you to this blog hop so I could find out about your books :) slholland22 {at} hotmail {dot} com
